A thriving primary school in WF2, Wakefield, is seeking a versatile HLTA to support whole-class teaching, intervention work, and pupil progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and leading targeted booster groups for underperforming pupils

  • Delivering full lessons during PPA time and short-term staff absence

  • Monitoring pupil engagement and adapting strategies accordingly

  • Supporting children's emotional and social development

  • Liaising with SENCO and class teachers to implement IEPs

  • Encouraging a safe and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified HLTA or experienced Level 3 TA with strong classroom leadership

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Understanding of pupil progress data and assessments

  • Proficiency in managing small groups and full-class coverage

  • A proactive and adaptable teaching approach

  • A valid DBS on the update service
