Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school located in Macclesfield. They are seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with an individual requiring additional academic and behavioural support. The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic and passionate about the development of young students and be able to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

About the role:

  • Start date: 1st May, ongoing

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work 1:1 with the student who requires additional academic and behavioural support. You will work closely with the class teacher to create and implement an individualised learning plan for the student and spend time doing English and Maths interventions. Additionally, you will also maintain communication with the class teacher and the student’s parent to provide updates and progress reports.

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification is desirable for this role
  • Experience within a school setting is essential for this role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff and students
  • Good understanding of behavioural management techniques and of the national curriculum
