Higher Level Teaching Assistant

About the role

Connex Education are working with a large mainstream primary school based in the Hartlepool area who are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team and work full time from nursery to year 6.

About the school

This primary school has a creative and enthusiastic community. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant there, you will be supported by a welcoming team of teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff. You will be responsible for assisting the teachers and supporting the pupils.

Assignment Details

This role is Monday – Friday, and the right candidate MUST be able to work full time. This role is ongoing with an immediate start. It is essential to be a minimum level 3 teaching assistant to be considered for this role.

Person Specification

  • MUST be qualified to HLTA standard.
  • Have experience of supporting pupils in a primary environment, in a nursery, or in a healthcare setting.
  • Be confident working with small groups.
  • Good knowledge of Additional Needs and EYFS Curriculum.
  • Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with Connex.
