A vibrant primary school in Gorseinon is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will lead lessons, support pupils, and plan interventions. Strong communication skills and HLTA status are required. The roleThey are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, including delivering high-quality lessons in the absence of the class teacher, planning and delivering interventions, and supporting pupils with a range of needs.
Key responsibilitiesLead whole-class teaching as required, following the teacher s planning or planning lessons independently
Support individual pupils and small groups to accelerate learning and progress
Plan and deliver targeted interventions under the guidance of the SENCO or class teacher
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery
Contribute to the planning, assessment, and evaluation of learning activities
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
Proven experience working in a primary school setting
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A flexible, proactive, and positive attitude
CPD Courses and certificates as part of the My- Progression channel
