Job summary

A teaching support organization is seeking a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide focused classroom support at a Good primary school. The successful candidate will assist class teachers, deliver interventions, and help pupil engagement. A 2:2 degree or above is required along with strong communication skills. This role offers a daily rate between £81 - £101 with an immediate start until July 2026.

Qualifications

Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities

• Work alongside class teachers across KS1 and KS2 to deliver short, targeted interventions in reading, writing and maths.
• Provide 1:1 support and guide small groups, prepare simple resources, and keep brief impact notes to inform next steps.
• Reinforce routines, encourage positive behaviour, and help pupils build confidence and independence.

Candidate

You're a graduate who communicates clearly, stays organised, and engages pupils with concise explanations and structured tasks. You follow guidance, use initiative in sessions, and keep learning focused on measurable progress.

Requirements

• Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children - Strong interest in primary education and pupil progress.
• Experience working with children - Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
