Cover People are working with a range of vibrant Primary and SEND schools across Manchester to recruit Primary Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) for full-time, long-term roles starting in September.

This is an ideal opportunity for newly qualified teachers looking to complete their induction and build valuable experience in supportive school environments.

The Role:

You ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2, managing behaviour effectively, and contributing to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach across the Primary National Curriculum (KS1 and KS2)

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress using effective strategies

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies

  • Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school life

About You:

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience delivering the UK Primary Curriculum

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to pupil progress

  • Eligible to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Experience working with SEND pupils or in SEND settings

  • Familiarity with UK assessment frameworks and tracking progress

  • Willingness to get involved in extracurricular activities or wider school life
