Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time

GSL Education’s Newcastle branch is looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our primary school team in Newcastle. This is a great opportunity for a new teacher to begin their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Job summary:

As an ECT , you will have the opportunity to develop your teaching skills and gain valuable experience in the classroom. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and mentors as you work to provide a high-quality education for your students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting student learning and development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • An updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
