Northumberland Church of England Academy Trust is inviting applications for an experienced SEND leader to join the Primary Central Leadership Team on a 0.4fte basis. The role focuses on leading inclusive practice and improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.
You will work across primary schools, model effective strategies, co-teach and support staff with a range of SEND needs, including communication, SEMH, and sensory and physical needs.

Salary: Leadership Scale L2 - L6 (£53,069 - £58,569)

The Trust has a unique opportunity for an inspirational and experienced SEND professional to join our Primary Central Leadership Team and play a key role in developing high-quality, inclusive SEND provision across our Trust primary schools.
This is a practical, classroom-facing leadership role. We are looking for someone who enjoys getting alongside pupils and staff, modelling effective practice, and helping schools develop the confidence, consistency, and expertise needed to support every child.
Working across all of our primary schools, you will collaborate closely with Headteachers, teachers, and SENDCOs to strengthen inclusive classroom practice. You will teach, co-teach and model effective strategies, demonstrate adaptive teaching approaches, and provide practical support for pupils with a wide range of SEND needs, including communication and interaction, SEMH, and sensory and physical needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine Trust-wide difference to the experiences and outcomes of pupils with SEND, while supporting teachers and support staff to develop their practice and ensure that inclusion is at the heart of everyday teaching.
