Job summary

Newtown Primary School in Carlisle is seeking a committed and dynamic class teacher to join CET at an exciting time as we continue to build on our successes. The role is a full-time, fixed-term post from 16.11.2026 to 31.08.2027.

You should be an experienced practitioner with SEND experience, capable of across-year planning and teaching, and an excellent communicator who works well within a whole-school community.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Experience planning and delivering across year groups.
• Strong communication and teamwork within a school community.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes as part of CET at Newtown Primary School.
• Lead non-core subject across school when required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to raise attainment and support CPD.
