Job summary

Denewood Academy in Nottingham is seeking a qualified teacher to join our specialist school. You will mentor and support pupils with diverse needs, adapting lessons to secure the best outcomes and sharing the joy of learning with families.

The successful candidate will have experience across EYFS and Key Stages 1 and 2, a secure knowledge of the primary core curriculum, and a commitment to inclusion, collaboration with colleagues and parents, and resilient, compassionate practice.

Qualifications

Our specialist school is seeking a qualified teacher who values each child as an individual, is committed to helping them succeed, and is confident in both supporting and challenging them to reach their full potential.

We are particularly looking for strong primary practitioners with experience in EYFS, as well as Key Stages 1 and 2, who have a secure knowledge of the primary core curriculum. This will enable effective lesson adaptation and the use of formative assessment to positively impact pupil progress. Experience of working within a specialist setting is desirable, but not essential. Above all, you will demonstrate resilience, compassion, and a strong commitment to inclusion, particularly when working with some of the city’s most vulnerable pupils.
