Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant

Axcis Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a mainstream primary school's SEND provision in Axminster. The role involves working with pupils involved in classroom activities, small groups, and on a 1:1 basis, depending on individual needs.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with SEND, particularly with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). Key qualities include:

1. Supportive attitude towards emotional and behavioral challenges
2. Good communication skills and rapport-building ability
3. Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach
4. Willingness to learn and adapt

The position is full-time, during school hours (8:30–3:30). A driving license is desirable due to transport links in East Devon. The role starts in September for the new academic year.
