Long-Term Teachers are working with fantastic mainstream and SEND schools for pupils, and we are looking for more qualified primary school teachers to support these local schools.

We seek a caring, dedicated, qualified teacher who can build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. It is essential that you have at least 2 years of teaching experience in the UK. You will plan and deliver sessions for students in Key Stage 2, so previous experience teaching this key stage is desirable.

Essential requirements before applying:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching across the primary phase
  • Proven classroom teaching experience
  • Experience in setting targets, monitoring progress, assessment, and raising pupil achievement
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Understanding of SEND and support strategies

Key responsibilities:

  • Set and evaluate individual termly targets; maintain achievement records for children and young people (CYP) in consultation with colleagues
  • Provide reports and assessments for CYP according to school policy and for various audiences, including detailed reports before annual reviews
  • Maintain effective communication with parents/carers regarding their child's welfare, progress, and participation
  • Ensure pupil safeguarding by following Education Provisions (EP) safeguarding policies, reporting concerns to the Safeguarding team, and recording information on the EP safeguarding system
