Experienced Primary Teacher – KS1 or KS2 (Full-Time, Fixed-Term)

Location: Newham
Salary: M3 – M6 (Inner London Pay Scale)
Contract: Fixed-term – 1 year
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role

Connex Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Newham to recruit an experienced KS1 or KS2 Class Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2025. This is a fixed-term contract for one academic year, with the potential for extension.

The school prides itself on fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where all pupils are supported to thrive both academically and personally. It has a diverse school community and is committed to delivering a broad, balanced curriculum that supports the individual needs of every child.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced teacher (M3 or above) who is confident with the primary curriculum and committed to raising outcomes for all learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS1 or KS2 curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all pupils to achieve their potential
  • Work closely with the SEND team, support staff, and senior leadership to ensure all pupils are supported
  • Use assessment for learning strategies to track progress and adapt teaching where needed
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, maintaining clear communication and consistency
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events

Assignment Details

  • Full-time teaching role
  • Working hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 1-year contract, starting September 2025

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 – essential
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • A commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a reflective, proactive approach
  • A current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex
