Job summary

Health Care First Partnership is seeking a paramedic to join our large general practice serving Castleford, Ferrybridge, Methley and Normanton. The role combines clinical duties with patient triage, in a setting that includes in-house pharmacy and cardiology teams.

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in paramedic science and hold or be working towards UK registrations. Tier 2 visa sponsorship accreditation is available, with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in Paramedic Science is required.
• Maintain UK registrations (AHP/INP).
• Working towards or signed off on the clinical pillar competencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in a mix of face-to-face and telephone appointments.
• Contribute to triage and management of minor illnesses.
• Collaborate with in-house Pharmacy, Cardiology, and Paediatric Nurse teams.

Essential Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in Paramedic Science
• Working towards or signed off formally within the clinical pillar competencies of the paramedic FCP and or AP roadmap to practice
• Maintain UK Registrations (Allied Health Professional / Independent Non-Medical Prescriber)

• A prescribing qualification would also be desirable.

Essential Experience

• Relevant clinical experience post-registration
• Recent secondary care, primary care or community experience
• Management of minor illness, minor ailments and injuries
• Clinical triage
• Compiling procedures and clinical guidelines
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Demonstrable experience of using diagnostic skills.
