Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wakefield, a category A Prison located in West Yorkshire.

Hours

The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns- 4 days over a 7 day rota.

Monday to Friday Either 7.30am-7.15pm or 7.45am-4.15pm

Saturday and Sunday- 8.45am to 17.15pm

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received.
  • Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
