Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust is recruiting a Primary Care Based Mental Health Practitioner to join our Lead MHP in North Norfolk GP practices. This ARRS-funded role embeds in GP practices as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team to deliver non-urgent mental health assessment and brief interventions for adults 16+.

You will provide assessments, brief interventions and short-term support, working with presentations across anxiety, depression, trauma-related distress, bipolar

Qualificações

• Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with the relevant professional registration.
• Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisor training (NMC Registrants) or Practice Educator (AHP/Social Worker Registrants).
• Ongoing Professional Development working towards degree level (if professional registration is following a diploma level course).

Responsabilidades

• Provide assessments, brief interventions and short-term support for people aged 16+.
• Support individuals with presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma-related distress, bipolar disorder, psychosis and other mental health needs.
• Deliver psychoeducation, problem-solving approaches, safety planning and self-management strategies.
• Work collaboratively with GP practice staff and local services to ensure people are directed to the most appropriate support.
• Promote recovery, wellbeing and prevention of deterioration within local communities.
