Primary Care/General Practice Nurse - Register

Role: Primary Care/General Practice Nurse - Register

Hours: UK-Med Register role, no guarantee of any work, but if deployed, work will be full-time.

Remuneration: GBP £3,400 – GBP £4,000 Gross per month (Dependent on role level & context adversity)

Duration: Fixed-term contracts for deployable members. Duration varies, typically between 4 and 12 weeks.

Location: International and/or UK-Med response locations

Are you a licensed Primary Care Nurse interested in gaining humanitarian experience, especially in emergency medical care?

UK-Med is a frontline medical aid charity with over 30 years of experience, originating from the British NHS, working towards universal healthcare during crises.

We seek enthusiastic Primary Care/General Practice Nurses eager to expand their skills in humanitarian settings. Availability to travel and work internationally for a minimum of 4-6 weeks (longer preferred) is required to join our register.

The Nurse will provide clinical care and support during humanitarian responses, leading patient care activities with a focus on quality, patient-centered care.

Collaboration with clinical team leads, doctors, and paramedics is essential for managing clinics, inpatient care, and patient referrals.

The Nurse will oversee multiple projects, act as a technical resource, and ensure adherence to best practices and global standards. They will also play a key role in training local staff (e.g., Ministry of Health, NGOs) to build capacity.

Applicants must hold a current nursing license and be members of a recognized registering organization. A degree in Nursing Science or equivalent professional registration is required.
