Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Lead to join our Primary team at HMP Stocken, a category C men's prison located near Oakham, Rutland, East Midlands.

In this role, you will have the autonomy to shape the role to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without compromising on efficiency and quality.

Hours

Monday to Friday (including some weekends and bank holidays). The working hours are flexible, with the possibility of working compressed hours.

This position is full-time, with an annual salary between £49,848 - £55,996 per annum, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide clinical leadership and management to registered nurses and care teams.
  • Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
  • Work closely with partners to maintain a high-quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that your clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
  • Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication, and competence.
  • Coach, line manage, and develop clinician staff; support and contribute to audits and governance; develop and review clinical/non-clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
  • Chair and facilitate healthcare meetings with the team and partners, provide clinical supervision (training available), and carry out investigations locally and regionally.
