The Role
This Primary Academic Coach role is ideal for a graduate who wants to build classroom experience before progressing to a PGCE or school-based training route. Working closely with class teachers, you will provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support pupils’ progress in literacy and numeracy. You’ll help plan and deliver targeted activities, track pupil development, and provide feedback to staff and parents. The role offers a solid foundation in primary education and behaviour management.

The Candidate
The school is looking for a motivated graduate with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in education. You must be confident, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with young learners. Previous experience working with children, either in a voluntary or paid capacity, is desirable but not essential. A good understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly in English and maths, will be beneficial.
