Hailsham Community College is seeking a dedicated Pre-School Assistant to join their team in September 2025. This role involves supporting children's learning in a nurturing environment. Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and be passionate about early years education, working in a purpose-built Pre-School setting.
Pre-School Assistant – required to start September 2025
Hours: Term Time – five days a week, 08:00 am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break. On Mondays, the finish time would be 3:30 pm.
Salary: Single Status Grade 3 – £24,027 pro-rated, actual salary £20,815
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pre-School Assistant to join our Pre-School in September 2025.
Our Pre-School is situated in our Primary School and has a large, purpose-built space with capabilities for specialist care and a wide range of stimulating activities that support early years learning. There is a large, secure outdoor space shared with reception children, fostering an early years village approach to learning. Additionally, there is a small garden area exclusively used by Pre-School children. Staff and children can also utilize other areas within the school, such as the daily mile track and a large sports hall.
The ideal applicant will have an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare or equivalent, with a passion for supporting children and providing engaging learning opportunities as they prepare for school. The candidate should work well with colleagues to create a safe, welcoming, purposeful, stimulating, and encouraging environment both indoors and outdoors.
