Job summary

Qogita is seeking a data scientist to own data science work across pricing, forecasting, classification, experimentation and recommendations for its wholesale marketplace. The role involves building predictive models, segmentation, ranking systems, and pricing models as part of a cross‑functional team.

You will act as the domain expert on pricing and market economics, translating analytical findings into commercial recommendations and working with Product, Finance and Commercial to shape pricing

Qualifications

• 3+ years working as a data scientist or quantitative analyst with exposure to ML methods and statistical modelling
• Grounding in microeconomics, econometrics, or finance
• Strong Python (pandas, statsmodels, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch) and SQL; comfortable with large transactional datasets
• Breadth in pricing, market economics, price theory, and consumer behaviour
• Experience designing and analysing experiments with real business decisions
• Clear communication of findings and model limitations to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver data science solutions across the stack – predictive models, segmentation, forecasting, ranking systems, and pricing models
• Own modelling approach and analytical strategy for pricing and market economics
• Research, deploy and maintain models reflecting B2B buyer behaviour and wholesale market dynamics
• Design and analyse experiments and AB tests, translating results into actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with engineers to ship models via reproducible MLOps workflows
• Communicate findings and model limitations clearly to Finance, Commercial, and Product teams
