Matillion is The Data Productivity Cloud. We are on a mission to power the data productivity of our customers and the world, by helping teams get data business ready, faster. Our technology allows customers to load, transform, sync and orchestrate their data.

About the role

The Pricing & Analytics Manager is responsible for developing and optimizing Matillion’s pricing and packaging strategies to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction. This role involves conducting data-driven analysis, competitive research, and customer usage and behavior insights to inform pricing and packaging decisions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, sales, and finance teams.

We value in-person collaboration here at Matillion, therefore this role will ideally follow our hybrid work structure where employees work 2 days a week in the Manchester office. However, we can be flexible for the right person.

What you will be doing

  1. Pricing Strategy & Analytics: Analyze pricing data, customer usage, and market trends to develop and optimize pricing models that drive revenue and align with business goals.
  2. Competitive Research: Monitor competitor pricing, packaging, and positioning to provide actionable insights that enhance market competitiveness.
  3. Packaging & Deal Optimization: Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to refine product tiers, optimize deal structures, and develop pricing enablement tools.
  4. Customer Usage Insights: Assess usage patterns to identify adoption trends, churn risks, and upsell opportunities, informing pricing and product improvements.
  5. Reporting & Communication: Create dashboards, reports, and presentations to provide leadership with key pricing insights and strategic recommendations.
  6. Governance & Compliance: Maintain pricing integrity through governance frameworks, discounting guidelines, and regular audits to ensure consistency and adherence.

What we are looking for

  1. Experience: Demonstrable experience in pricing strategy, data analytics, or similar roles within SaaS, technology, or consulting.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, and BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or ThoughtSpot.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with SaaS pricing models (subscription, consumption-based) and an understanding of behavioral economics or pricing psychology (preferred).
  4. Business & Communication: Strong business acumen, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to analyse market and competitive trends and communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  5. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field (preferred).

At Matillion, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is £48,320 - £72,480, but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.

Matillion has fostered a culture that is collaborative, fast-paced, ambitious, and transparent, and an environment where people genuinely care about their colleagues and communities. Our 6 guiding principles shape how we work together and with our customers and partners.

We operate a truly flexible and hybrid working culture that promotes work-life balance, and are proud to offer the following benefits:

  • Company Equity
  • 30 days holiday + bank holidays
  • 5 days paid volunteering leave
  • Health insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • Pension
  • Access to mental health support
