Role Overview:

We’re seeking a commercially minded Pricing Lead to take full ownership of pricing and commercial strategy across our retail banking products, focusing on liabilities. Using data analysis and model development, you will play a key role in shaping our strategy and driving performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Own pricing strategies for liabilities and overdraft products.
  • Bring market insights into pricing for Personal Current Accounts, Overdrafts, and Savings.
  • Contribute to the commercial planning for Retail Banking.
  • Develop and shape pricing proposals regularly.
  • Demonstrate the impact on P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Incorporate sensitivity analysis into pricing decisions.
  • Drive customer growth initiatives.
  • Support customer engagement and campaign strategies.
  • Develop pricing data models with product and price attributes.
  • Create predictive models for pricing options.
  • Enable self-serve models with sensitivity analysis capabilities.
  • Shape commercial objectives related to P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Regularly review commercial performance and plan actions.
  • Integrate macroeconomic trends and market outlooks into decision-making.
  • Embed Consumer Duty principles and fair value considerations into pricing and regulatory reporting.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Proven success in liability pricing and achieving commercial outcomes.
  • Experience working with product, finance, treasury, risk, and regulatory teams.

Skills:

  • Data modeling, machine learning, AI expertise.
  • Knowledge of market data sets like benchmarks, CACI, etc.
  • Understanding of financial operations such as ILAAP and stress testing.
  • Strategic communication skills.

Attributes:

  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Regulatory awareness, especially regarding Consumer Duty and fair value principles.
  • Ability to work at pace and adapt to macroeconomic developments.
