Principal Researcher - Legal Finance & Accounting

One of my top law firm clients is looking to hire a Pricing Analyst to join their close-knit and busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join an established team, learn, and also progress over time.

As the Pricing Analyst, some of your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Support the Pricing Team and wider firm to devise pricing strategies that meet the client's legal spend objectives while proving profitable for the firm.
  2. Work with the Head of Pricing and the Pricing Manager to develop fee options in response to RFPs and ad-hoc client and matter requests.
  3. Prepare analysis to support proposed fee arrangements and rate negotiations.
  4. Help client teams articulate pricing in a client-friendly way.
  5. Undertake analysis of financial data to identify trends and opportunities to inform future pricing and matter management decisions, including matter/client deep dives to identify areas of improvement.
  6. Identify opportunities to involve Legal Project Managers in live matters.
  7. Track pricing decisions and analyze the performance of existing fee agreements to identify opportunities for future improvement.
  8. Manage e-auctions.
  9. Continuously improve the firm's global pricing processes.
  10. Support the design, development, and implementation of self-service pricing tools.
  11. Update the pricing intranet page to aid the sharing of knowledge and access to useful information.

To be successful in this Pricing Analyst role, you must have:

  1. Excellent numerical skills.
  2. Previous financial analysis and/or pricing experience in a professional services firm would be a distinct advantage.
  3. Commercially driven.
  4. Client-focused.
  5. Highly proficient in Excel.
  6. Able to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
  7. Able to develop professional relationships and build business through diverse networks.
  8. Flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours on occasion as required.
