Job Description:

Our client is an esteemed specialist and reinsurance business, operating at Lloyd's to underwrite bespoke insurance solutions for a variety of niche and complex risks.

They are actively seeking a mid-to-senior Pricing Actuary to join their Bespoke Credit and Political Risk team, reporting directly to the Head of Pricing. This will involve the design, development, maintenance, and ownership of tailored pricing models for credit and political risk products, collaborative, underwriter-driven case pricing responsibilities, risk identification and quantification, business planning and reporting, and engaging with high-level stakeholders, as well as supporting the training and mentorship of junior actuaries and analysts in the team.

They are relatively open on seniority level, considering those at Nearly/Newly Qualified level, up to 5 years PQE, with title, responsibilities, and remuneration offered accordingly to reflect this.

Role Requirements:

  • Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary, up to Qualified Actuary with 5 years PQE.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Pricing or Capital Modelling roles, ideally with transferable, specific product knowledge, but open to other Commercial Insurance or London Market backgrounds.
  • Also considering suitable Actuarial experience across Life Insurance, Reinsurance, and Asset Management industries, with a desire to pursue a GI/Non-Life Actuarial career.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, and/or Remetrica, strongly beneficial.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder skillsets, with ambitious nature and eagerness to learn and progress.
