Job Description:

Our client is an esteemed specialist and reinsurance business, operating at Lloyd's to underwrite bespoke insurance solutions for a variety of niche and complex risks.

They are actively seeking a mid-to-senior Pricing Actuary to join their Bespoke Credit and Political Risk team, reporting directly to the Head of Pricing. This role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and owning tailored pricing models for credit and political risk products, collaborative case pricing, risk identification and quantification, business planning and reporting, and engaging with high-level stakeholders. Additionally, the role includes supporting the training and mentorship of junior actuaries and analysts.

The company is flexible regarding seniority, considering candidates from Nearly Qualified to up to 5 years PQE, with remuneration and responsibilities adjusted accordingly.

Role Requirements:
  • Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary, up to Qualified Actuary with 5 years PQE.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Pricing or Capital Modelling roles, ideally with transferable product knowledge, but open to other Commercial Insurance or London Market backgrounds.
  • Experience in Life Insurance, Reinsurance, or Asset Management industries is also considered, with an interest in pursuing a GI/Non-Life Actuarial career.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, and/or Remetrica is highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with an ambitious attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
