Job summary

The Actuary is partnering with a global (re)insurer in the London Market to appoint a Pricing Actuary into their Actuarial & Analytics function. The role reports to a Senior Pricing Manager and offers an excellent opportunity to deliver pricing insights and shape underwriting strategy while developing junior staff.

This commercially focused and technically engaging role blends hands-on pricing with leadership exposure, working closely with underwriting teams, contributing to portfolio

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuary or equivalent pricing/analytics experience.
• Experience in London Market pricing or insurance analytics.
• Proven track record in building and deploying pricing models.
• Strong analytical, data-driven approach and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience collaborating with underwriting teams in commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting pricing workstreams to deliver insight across underwriting divisions
• Building, enhancing, and deploying pricing models for use across the business
• Conducting profitability, claims, capital, and segmentation analyses to inform decision-making
• Partnering closely with underwriting teams to support strategic planning and pricing decisions
• Providing ad-hoc analytical support on complex underwriting queries
• Supporting and contributing to the development of capability within the Pricing & Analytics team
• Acting as a delegate for the Senior Pricing Manager where required
