The Role

Preventive Conservation Technician

2 Positions Are Available

  • 1 position at V&A East Storehouse (full-time; 36 hours/week)
  • 1 position at V&A South Kensington (part-time; 21.6 hours/week)
About the V&A

The V&A is the world’s leading museum of art, design and performance and the custodian of an extraordinary and extensive collection spanning decorative and applied arts. It houses a collection of over 2.3 million objects that document 5,000 years of human creativity from across six continents.

As a Preventive Conservation Technician, you will be part of the Preventive Conservation team. You will have experience or interest in integrated pest management (IPM), collections and galleries housekeeping, Oddy testing, and preventive conservation maintenance of display cases. You will be flexible, with good time management skills and able to prioritise your workload. You will also have a sound knowledge and experience of using IT systems and confident in data collection and recording.
