Job Description:

Major Job Functions
  1. Preventative Maintenance Servicing (routine servicing, oil sampling) - 75%
  2. Machine Inspection (visual/mechanical analysis, system checks) - 20%
  3. Minor Repairs (minor repairs, telematic systems, undercarriage inspection) - 5%

*This is a field-based role. All drivers must have held a full driving license for 2 years, subject to DVLA checks.

*Working hours: 43 hours/week, Tuesday-Saturday, with flexible start/finish times.

Specific Skills

Basic knowledge of Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics related to heavy mobile plant servicing and repair.

Accountability

Attend customer sites, perform preventative maintenance, liaise with service controllers and customers, ensure high standards and safety, complete paperwork accurately, and maintain company vehicle and equipment.

Education and Experience

Approximately 3 years of relevant experience or related engineering background, e.g., car mechanic, HGV fitter, military vehicle experience, or formal apprenticeship with C&G Level 1. Additional safety training is desirable but not essential.
