Qualifications

  • Approximately 3 years of relevant experience in related engineering work.
  • Experience as a mechanic, HGV fitter, agricultural engineer, REME, military vehicles accepted.
  • Training provided with opportunities for progression.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance servicing and inspections at customer locations.
  • Liaise with service controllers and ensure high-quality standards.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately.

Major Job Functions
  1. Preventative Maintenance Servicing (routine servicing, oil samples) - 75%
  2. Machine Inspection (visual/mechanical analysis, system issues) - 20%
  3. Minor Repairs (minor repairs, telematic systems, undercarriage inspections) - 5%

Specific Skills

Basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, and vehicle electrics/electronics related to heavy mobile plant servicing and repair.

Accountability

Attend customer locations, perform preventive maintenance, liaise with service controller and customers, ensure high standards, safe equipment, and complete all paperwork accurately.

Education and Experience

Approximately 3 years of relevant experience or related engineering work, such as mechanic, HGV fitter, agricultural engineer, REME, military vehicles, or formal apprenticeship (C&G level 1). Training provided, with opportunities for progression.
