Position Overview: As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will work in conjunction with the controller to maximise the operational availability of equipment for the customer through timely and efficient routine and preventative maintenance servicing and machine inspections. You will identify possible issues that may impact availability and carry out minor repairs as requested. You will serve as an ambassador for safety, promoting safe servicing practices for yourself and the customer.

Note: This is a field-based role. All drivers must have held a full driving licence for at least 2 years (subject to DVLA check).
Working Hours: 43 hours/week, flexible start/finish, Monday to Friday, with 1 Saturday in 3 at overtime rate.
Specific Skills: Basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, and vehicle electrics/electronics related to heavy mobile plant or similar.
Accountability: Attend customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, liaise with service controller and customers, ensure high standards and safety, complete paperwork accurately, and care for company vehicle and equipment.
Education and Experience: Approximately 3 years of relevant experience or related engineering background, such as mechanic, HGV fitter, agricultural engineer, REME, military vehicle experience, or a formal apprenticeship (C&G Level 1 or higher). Training will be provided, with opportunities for career progression.
