Job description

JMC Aviation are working with a MRO company based in Southend, looking to recruit a new Pressurisation Technician to join their team.

This client is a leading MRO which have been operating for over 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and helping their employees progress within their roles. They offer in-house component repair, overhaul and maintenance of a range of aircraft types.

This is a Permanent Position based in Southend40 hours per week, working 0800 to 1630Monday to Friday.

The Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to conduct testing, fault finding, repairs and reassembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical products in the pressurisation workshop.

Other duties involve:

  • Performing tests, fault finding, repairs, and reassembly of products according to original manufacturers’ manuals and instructions.
  • Ensure quality standards and procedures are observed and maintained
  • Establish and maintain a legally compliant and safe working environment, conducting risk assessments as necessary
  • Prepare workshop reports and material reviews to assist the purchasing and commercial departments in creating customer estimates
  • Perform any other tasks within your capabilities as directed by the company
  • Understand and meet or exceed customer needs at all times

Skills and experience required: 

In order to be successful in this role the Pressurisation Technician will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Strong understanding of DC/AC motors and the ability to read electrical circuits and pneumatic diagrams
  • A background in an Aviation environment
  • Able to read and interpret manuals and record inspection findings
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
