Job summary

Reed in Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Inspection, Repair & Pressure Test Technician for a hands-on workshop role supporting the oil & gas sector. You will inspect, repair, assemble and pressure test drilling valves and oilfield equipment to exacting standards.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, with a salary of £38,000–£45,000 DOE and opportunities for further training and development within a growing oilfield services business.

Qualifications

• 6 years' experience in pressure testing using various media
• Strong knowledge of drill string well control equipment and oilfield equipment
• City & Guilds Pressure Testing qualification or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Pressure testing, inspection and repair of drilling valves and oilfield equipment
• Dismantling, rebuilding and testing a variety of well control equipment
• Producing inspection reports, test reports and pressure test charts
• Operating torque machines, overhead cranes and workshop equipment
• Supporting maintenance activities and driving continuous improvement within the workshop

Inspection, Repair & Pressure Test Technician

Aberdeen | Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm | £38,000-£45,000 DOE

We're recruiting for an experienced Inspection, Repair & Pressure Test Technician to join a busy valve shop supporting the oil & gas drilling sector.

This is a hands-on workshop-based role where you'll be responsible for the inspection, repair, assembly and pressure testing of drilling valves and oilfield equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing:

• Pressure testing, inspection and repair of drilling valves and oilfield equipment
• Dismantling, rebuilding and testing a variety of well control equipment
• Producing inspection reports, test reports and pressure test charts
• Operating torque machines, overhead cranes and workshop equipment
• Supporting maintenance activities and driving continuous improvement within the workshop

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 6 years' experience in pressure testing using various media
• Strong knowledge of drill string well control equipment and oilfield equipment
• City & Guilds Pressure Testing qualification or equivalent experience
• Ability to work safely, accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment
