Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd in partnership with a global manufacturing client invites applications for a Hydrotester (pressure testing) based in Redditch. This full-time, on-site role involves hydrostatic testing of components, reading and interpreting technical drawings, and monitoring test equipment to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

You will maintain accurate records of test results, follow health and safety procedures, and assist with related workshop activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydrostatic testing or mechanical testing in manufacturing.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and test specifications.
• Willing to work 7:30am–4:15pm with early finish on Fridays.

HYDROTESTER (pressure testing)

Location: Redditch

Shift: 7:30am - 4:15pm, with early finish on Friday

Pay: £12.87 per hour ( or £14.42 with holiday pay)

Contract: Full-time

We are partnering with a well-established global manufacturing company based in Redditch to recruit a Hydrotester for a full-time role. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in mechanical testing, hydraulics, or manufacturing environments. Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrostatic testing on components and equipment
• Operate and monitor testing equipment safely and accurately
• Ensure all products meet required quality and pressure standards
• Interpret technical drawings and test specifications
• Record and report test results with precision
• Maintain rigorous quality control throughout all processes
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures at all times

Additional Duties

• Support general workshop and production activities
• Handle, load, and move materials safely
• Prepare equipment for testing
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Use an overhead crane (experience preferred but not essential; full training provided)

Person Specification

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Comfortable working in a hands-on engineering environment
• Willing to work in all workshop conditions
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Mechanical or testing experience advantageous but not essential
• Experience using an overhead crane is desirable but not essential
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks
