Position: Pressure System Integrity Engineer

Location: Remote based with trips to Angola

Rotation: 4 weeks in-country / 8 weeks remote or 5 weeks in-country / 10 weeks remote

Duration: 12 months

Job Description

The Asset Integrity Engineer is responsible for implementing comprehensive Reliability programs, including Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Mechanical Integrity programs, Inspection program development, and facility or equipment/piping/structure condition assessment.

Accountabilities

1. Administer topside inspection activities including repair jobs, ensure the integrity of the repair work, review final inspection reports, and develop strategies to prevent re-occurrence of issues.
2. Provide recommendations on the scope of temporary and permanent repairs, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards regarding materials and equipment improvements.
3. Guide the development and implementation of critical equipment inspection plans using recognized techniques such as RCM, RBI, or Inspection Codes, including defining inspection frequencies and using computerized techniques.
4. Support analysis and interpretation of third-party inspection reports and define effective corrective actions to optimize equipment lifecycle costs.
5. Monitor indicators of Operating Integrity for pressure vessels, pipelines, cargo tanks, engine rooms, etc.
6. Prepare and monitor UWILD campaigns, including contractor management, technique selection, and scope definition.
7. Apply engineering principles to perform failure analysis, determine root causes of equipment failures, and conduct fitness-for-service evaluations.
8. Participate in asset optimization studies using primary data sources like PFDs, heat and material balances, P&IDs, and isometrics for fixed equipment and piping systems.
9. Always consider HSE implications in parameter changes and routine/non-routine operations.
10. Follow up on Management of Change processes related to modifications and risk assessments.

Essential Education

A relevant engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical or Material Science.

Desirable Attributes

• 5-10 years of experience in Integrity Management within the oil & gas industry.
• Experience with integrity management software systems such as NEXUS, BassNet, ACET, Palladio, etc.
• Understanding of NDT techniques and defect assessment standards (APIs, ASME, ASTM).
• Knowledge of pressure vessel and piping design, inspection codes, and standards.
• Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of coatings, materials, and remaining life calculations per API standards.
