Job description

Due to growth and a new project, we are currently looking for a Pressure Control Maintenance Technician for our Well Services Team in our Blackburn office (Aberdeen). This is a new area of our business so it is an exciting time to join!

The Pressure Control Maintenance Technician is responsible for running the pressure testing bay for all UK business lines and should have the relevant mechanical background and preferably experienced working on pressure control equipment. Prior experience in maintenance operations or a similar role would be required. Candidates should be flexible to work in all other areas of the workshops when operationally required and proactive in development of the PCE processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining Coiled Tubing/Wireline BOP’s and Coiled Tubing/Wireline Stuffing Boxes
• Pressure Testing pressure control equipment and treating hoses within Well Services.
• Performing shear / slip testing in line with Archer CT procedures and / or customer requirements.
• Ensure adequate spares and in stock and readily available.
• Assist with planning and coordination of 5-year major certification updates on PCE.
• Maintain and update necessary certification for pressure control across all UK business units.
• Input and adherence to business units’ quality plans in line with relevant industry standards.
• Lead safety culture with focus on Archer’s five core values in line with other workshop personnel.
• Following and updating maintenance procedures
• Ensure that preventative maintenance is carried out at the correct intervals.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and original build standards
