Job summary

Ashby Finance in Leamington Spa is seeking an experienced Press Supervisor to lead a production team in a busy press shop. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety and quality, and drive performance through hands-on leadership and clear communication.

The role covers 39 hours per week with rotating shifts and a pay rate of £18.34 per hour plus shift allowance. You will coordinate resources, train staff, investigate issues, and report on performance to help deliver operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience working in a press shop environment and operating a Press machine.
  • Experience operating mechanical, hydraulic, or servo presses safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of metal stamping, pressing, and forming processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to operational teams.
  • Act as the main point of contact for production activities and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate workforce deployment, machine utilisation, and shift resources.
  • Lead shift handovers and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Ensure work is completed in line with procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Promote compliance with health, safety, environmental, and 6S requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Support employee development through training and coaching.
  • Investigate operational issues, implement corrective actions, and escalation where necessary.
  • Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and overall team performance.
  • Conduct investigations and produce reports when required.Maintain clear communication across teams to support operational success.

Contract Basis: Permanent

Pay Rate: £18.34 per hour + shift allowance

Hours: 39 hours per week working rotating shifts

Hours & Pay

Hours: 39 hours per week

Pay: £18.34 per hour + shift allowance

Rotating Fortnightly Shifts

  • Monday to Thursday 06.00ampm (8 hours per day)
  • Friday 06.00ampm (7 hours per day)
  • Monday to Thursday 14.00pm -22.00pm (8 hours per day)
  • Friday 13.00pm -20.00pm (7 hours per day)
