Press Brake Setter / Operator

Bishop's Stortford area, Hertfordshire

Full-Time | Permanent | Immediate Start Available

£35,100 - £39,780 per year (£15.00 - £17.00 per hour, depending on experience)

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (45 hours per week)

About the Role

Long-established manufacturer and installer of building envelope solutions, currently seeking an experienced Press Brake Setter / Operator to join their Sheet Metal department.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication, particularly in setting and operating CNC Press Brake machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC Press Brake Machines to produce sheet metal components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Perform quality checks and make necessary adjustments.
• Operate additional machinery (Punch Press, Guillotine, Piercing machines).
• Use hand tools for finishing and assembly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete job-related paperwork and follow safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating and setting CNC Press Brake Machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Experience with other sheet metal machinery is a plus.
