Job Title:
Press Brake Setter / Laser Cutter Setter
Salary:
17.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Overtime available at premium rates
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday - 07:00 to 16:00 (Straight Day Shift)
Location:
Worcester, WR5 area

About the Company:
This is a specialist steel fabrication company based in Worcester, offering turnkey solutions including laser cutting, bending, welding, CNC machining, coating & finishing, and CAD consultancy. The business supports clients across construction, renewables, highways, plant engineering, food manufacturing, and equipment attachment sectors, providing services from one-off prototypes to full batch assemblies.

Role Overview:
As a key member of the production team, you'll be responsible for accurately setting up and operating CNC press brakes and laser cutting machines to produce precision parts. Your work will contribute to the company's reputation for delivering high-quality, durable, cost-effective fabrication services.

Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery for sheet metal forming.
* Set up and operate flatbed laser cutting machines capable of processing mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium up to 40?mm thick.
* Read and interpret CAD drawings produced in-house.
* Conduct routine quality checks to ensure all components meet specifications.
* Perform minor machine maintenance and adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Work closely with the CAD and welding teams on projects ranging from prototypes to full production assemblies.
* Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment while meeting production targets.

Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter and/or Laser Cutter Setter in a precision sheet metal or fabrication environment.
* Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Good mathematical skills and attention to detail.
* Team player with a proactive attitude toward health & safety.
* Willingness to learn new equipment and processes in a dynamic, growing business.

Desirable Skills:
* Experience with CNC equipment such as Amada, Bystronic, or Trumpf.
* Experience in MIG/TIG welding or forklift/crane operations.
* Exposure to large-frame assembly or heavy fabrication projects.
* Interest in developing additional skills across fabrication services including CNC machining and CAD.
