Job summary

Katmex Ltd. seeks a skilled Production Operative (Press Brake) to join a precision fabrication environment in Stockton-on-Tees. The role uses CNC programmes and press tooling to bend steel to exact angles per customer specs, following set-up sheets and production schedules.

You’ll perform TPM checks, inspect parts and equipment, and work to high quality standards. Training is provided; full-time, permanent position with salary progression and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Following part set up sheets and customer work schedules
• Operating machines to bend steel to specific angles using press tooling for heavy duty parts
• Using hand tools such as pin grinders/ angle grinders
• Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventative/ production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets
• Completing tasks by use of engineering drawings
• Inspect quality of parts to maintain high standards and completion of first off checks
• Inspect all equipment to ensure it’s in a safe working condition
• Carry out adjustments using CNC programmes
