Robertson Recruitment are looking for a press brake operator would be willing to join our experienced manufacturing company based in Mansfield on a permanent basis. In this role you will be operating the machines on a daily basis. You may be expected to do other tasks in the machine shop too.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday. 08:00am - 4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets and components based on blueprints and technical drawings
• Set up and adjust machine controls for speed, material thickness, bend angle, and tooling
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and production schedules
• Inspect parts for accuracy using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, and gauges
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press brake and tooling
• Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines
• Follow company safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
  
  

Skills Required

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong understanding of metal types, thicknesses, and forming characteristics
• Familiarity with Amada, Cincinnati, Trumpf, or similar press brake brands is a plus
• Proficient in using measurement tools to ensure precision
• Basic math and mechanical skills
