We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to precise specifications. Responsibilities include setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines while ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are met.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal components based on work orders or technical drawings.
- Quality Control: Inspect formed parts for compliance with specifications, dimensions, and surface quality, using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors.
- Tooling & Adjustments: Select, install, and adjust press brake dies, tools, and fixtures for different materials and bending requirements.
- Production Efficiency: Monitor production to ensure timely completion and minimal machine downtime; adjust settings for optimal performance.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, use PPE, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform basic maintenance, clean equipment, and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of production, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
- Collaboration: Work with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to improve productivity, quality, and machine utilization.
Key Skills Required:
- Proven experience with press brake machines.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, bending techniques, and tooling setup.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and quality focus.
- Effective communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver materials.
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment is advantageous.
