Job summary

A recruitment agency seeks a press brake operator in Ipswich. The role offers full training to become a sheet metal fabricator. Job description

We are looking for a press brake operator with the opportunity to further develop with full training & progression as a sheet metal fabricator. The following role is based in Woodbridge, Suffolk & is offering full training to become a sheet metal fabricator.

We are only considering applicants who have previous engineering experience, even if it is limited. You don't have to have worked as a machinist before, but must have some previous engineering acumen behind you, whether its from college or from previous work experience. Full machine training will be provided if you show the right aptitude & willingness to learn.

Pay & Hours:

  • 07:30-16:30, Monday to Thursday, with an earlier finish on a Friday.
  • 14 p/hour + an advancement once successfully passing the probation period


Sheet Metal Duties Include:

  • Operating the CNC press brake, punch & guillotine
  • Assisting on other machines as and when required
  • Working alongside other engineers as well as working independently as & when required
  • Ensuring orders are met to meet customer demands
  • Always Adhering to the company's health & safety policies


The ideal applicant will have previous experience working with metal / fabrication.

This is a full-time permanent position, subject to a successful probation period. If you have any sheet metal fabrication experience or a qualification in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline, then we want to hear from you!
