Job summary

ADE Power Ltd is seeking a skilled Press Brake & Guillotine Operator to join our Prep Team in Knowsley. You will operate guillotine, press brake and related equipment to prepare metal components for fabrication and paint, following drawings and production plans with high safety standards.

The role requires experience with sheet metal processing, accuracy, and the ability to work 40 hours per week (2pm–12:30am).

Qualifications

• Experience operating guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma cutter or band saw.
• Ability to read 2D drawings.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and workshop safety procedures.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Physically fit for manual tasks and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma cutter, and band saw to prepare metal components.
• Read cut sizes from 2D drawings and sketches.
• Set up and adjust machines per production plans and drawings.
• Load/unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace.

We're currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Press Brake & Guillotine Operator to join our Prep Team. This hands-on role involves operating a range of metalworking machinery to prepare components for fabrication and paint, and is ideal for someone with experience in sheet metal processing and a passion for precision.

Responsibilities

• Operate guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma cutter, and band saw machinery to prepare metal components.
• Work out cut sizes from 2D drawings and sketches.
• Set up and adjust machines according to production plans and technical drawings.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Complete relevant paperwork and production records.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Follow all site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma, or band saw machinery is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D technical drawings.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and workshop safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and carrying.

Working Hours

The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 2pm to 12:30am, Monday to Thursday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
