Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking an experienced Presentation Designer to craft expert-level decks for agency and corporate contexts in the UK. You will extend and apply visual template systems, reproduce brand-aligned styles from references, and deliver polished, on-brand decks across multiple slide types.

You will define criteria for quality, build evaluation rubrics, and collaborate with stakeholders to refine templates and tasks as the project evolves.

Qualifications

• Agency/in-house/corporate comms/brand experience required.
• Advanced typography, layout, color usage, iconography, and grid systems.
• Fluency in building and applying visual template systems across slide types.
• Ability to infer and replicate visual styles from reference decks with high accuracy.
• Expert-level proficiency in PowerPoint and/or Keynote; strong familiarity with Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and author expert-level presentation tasks using reference decks, brand assets, and structured content inputs.
• Create gold-standard example decks that exemplify refined craft in typography, grid, hierarchy, and visual system fidelity.
• Define clear, actionable criteria for 'on-brand' and 'polished' presentation design for varied tasks.
• Develop comprehensive visual rubrics evaluating model outputs on visual craft, style consistency, and template adherence.
• Identify and flag visual failure modes specific to AI design, such as misaligned grids and inconsistent hierarchy.
• Communicate feedback and reasoning effectively, demonstrating care for both written and verbal articulation of visual standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to iterate on presentation tasks, templates, and evaluation systems as the project evolves.
