About The Role

Preschool Teacher – Ark Start Globe

Reporting to: Nursery Manager

Location: Ark Start Globe (Harper Rd, London SE1 6AF)

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full-time

About the role:

We are expanding and seeking a Level 6 qualified Early Childhood Educator or a candidate with QTS to join Ark Start Globe. You will provide high standards of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care, ensuring safeguarding and promoting welfare and safety. You will create an enabling environment where children can play, learn, and develop.

We value passion for young children, creativity, commitment, energy, and enthusiasm for leading classroom practice. The role involves engaging in outdoor activities, forest learning, cooking, and gardening, making each day diverse and enriching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote the aims and objectives of the nursery
• Implement the curriculum effectively across the nursery
• Develop and enhance provision to support quality play
• Lead singing, reading, and vocabulary activities daily
• Assist the team in planning based on children's existing knowledge and needs
• Maintain high standards of the nursery to parents, staff, and visitors
• Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure children's safety and well-being
• Provide high standards of physical and emotional care
• Work with families and carers
• Keep accurate records of children's development and share progress with parents
• Liaise with external agencies as required
• Participate in team meetings and training
• Adhere to nursery policies and procedures
• Maintain safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
• Assist with washing and changing children when necessary
• Provide cover when needed
• Undertake other duties as assigned by management
