Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking a Nursery Room Leader for a Preschool role in the UK. You will lead a preschool room of up to 15 children within a day nursery, focusing on early learning and school readiness.

The role requires a Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification and significant leadership experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner. EYFS expertise and safeguarding knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience as Nursery Room Leader or Senior Practitioner.
• Strong working knowledge of the EYFS.
• Experience planning activities, completing observations and assessments, and monitoring children's progress.
• Confidence leading colleagues, maintaining consistent practice and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily running of the preschool room, maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment.
• Plan and deliver EYFS-aligned activities that support children's development and school readiness.
• Monitor children's progress through observations, assessments and learning records.
• Support and guide colleagues to maintain consistent standards of care and education.
• Build positive relationships with parents and communicate effectively about children's progress and wellbeing.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed consistently.
• Organise room routines and resources to support children's learning, independence and wellbeing.
