• Copdock and Washbrook Preschool, Ipswich, Copdock, Suffolk IP8 3LF
• Up to £16.15 per hour
• Up to 40 hours per week term time/ 20 hours per week school holidays
• Permanent
• Reference: 0139
• Required from June/July 2025

Your role:

• To manage the preschool
• To lead and inspire the preschool team
• To provide quality care and education for all young children.

Your responsibilities:

• Day to day running of the preschool
• Management of staff including inductions and supervisions and team meetings
• Continuous monitoring of quality and standards of the provision, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed to meet all legislative and EYFS requirements.

You will need:

• A full and relevant Level 4 Childcare qualification and the willingness to train
• A qualification in level 2 Mathematics (or the willingness to train)
• 2 years’ experience in management
• Working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements
• Enthusiasm and commitment to maintain the highest standards in childcare
• Effective communication and motivation skills
• The ability to lead and work as part of a team.

We are a small, but very busy Preschool and wrap around care business. Our aim is to provide quality care and learning for all children. We are committed to providing all children with experiences to support their individual needs. We are well resourced and have a fabulous outside area to offer a range of learning opportunities for all children.

The Preschool is open 7.45am - 6pm Monday to Thursday and 7.45am - 4.30pm on Fridays during term time. In school holidays we are open 8am - 4.30pm 3 days a week.
