Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a Preschool Cook, to order, prepare and cook a variety of healthy, well-balanced meals for children aged 3 to 4 years in the Preschool.

Main Tasks/Duties

  1. To manage the kitchen and other catering stations in line with environmental health regulations.
  2. To ensure that all dietary requirements are known and adhered to, including allergies.
  3. Ensure that appropriate clothing, including head wear is worn at all times by yourself.
  4. Responsible for ensuring that the Food Policy is followed and that High Risk foods are not used in any recipes.
  5. Ensure that all dietary requirements of children with allergies are adhered to.
  6. Prepare lunch, tea and snacks.
  7. To ensure that all food cooked is heated to the correct temperature.
  8. Communicating effectively in the wider team, and supporting staff in dietary including allergy information and substitutes for children.
  9. To coordinate the serving of lunches, ensuring food is covered and served at the correct temperature.
  10. To clean the main kitchen after each service.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum Level 2 in Food Hygiene, preferably level 3.
