Job summary

Leigh Academy Cherry Orchard, part of Leigh Academies Trust, is seeking a passionate Class Teacher - Preschool to lead our early years provision and give our youngest learners a bright start. You will oversee preschool operations, mentor Deputy Managers and Preschool Assistants, deliver the EYFS curriculum, and support SEN identification with our SENCO.

Qualifications

• DfE-recognised QTS or equivalent and a degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience in a primary or early years setting, with SEN experience considered a bonus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and commitment to inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preschool operations, staffing, and standards of care and education.
• Mentor Deputy Managers and Preschool Assistants to foster a warm, family-friendly environment.
• Deliver a rich EYFS curriculum while supporting SEN identification and interventions.
• Build relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to keep the preschool thriving.
